A House cricket, my roommate
Updated: Nov 7, 2019
House crickets are 3/4 to 7/8 inches long as adults. In ideal conditions, the female can lay approximately 700 eggs in fevourable areas for the hatching of the next generation. These overwintering eggs hatch in late summer with only one generation per year. The crickets’ preferred fabrics are made of natural fibers — like wool and silk. In addition, crickets will feed on dead insects, live insects, paper, wallpaper glue as well as just about anything that we would eat.
